“Play is the answer to how anything new comes about.”
Kaylee grew up in the beautiful Kennebecasis Valley and enjoyed spending much of her childhood roaming free outdoors! As an adult, she continues to enjoy exploring the great outdoors both near and far. A cross country road trip gave Kaylee the opportunity to experience some of the most amazing natural landscapes in our Canadian National Parks. Kaylee’s adventurous spirit also lead her to Iceland where she had the opportunity to explore incredible glaciers and waterfalls. Kaylee is passionate about hiking and has completed several multi-day backcountry treks including the Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Cape Chignection Coastal Trail in Nova Scotia and the Dobson Trail at home in New Brunswick to name a few.
After graduating high school, Kaylee earned her Early Childhood Education Diploma from NBCC and worked in various Early Learning Centers before moving to St. Andrews to work as a Behavioral Interventionist. In this role, Kaylee provided therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder before being promoted to Lead Therapist, where she was responsible for training Behavioral Interventionists, implementing individualized programs for clients and supervising staff during their one on one therapy sessions. Kaylee is incredibly grateful for the experience she had working with so many incredible children in this field.
Kaylee also spends time working as an Educator for at-risk youth in our community with a local non-profit organization.
Kaylee is extremely proud to be a part of this team and feels fortunate to be working alongside a group of passionate and knowledgeable educators and community leaders.
In her spare time Kaylee can be found walking her dog Sadie in her backyard trail system. She also enjoys working in her vegetable garden, tending to her chickens and walking or kayaking the coastline in the nearby bays, rivers and lakes.
Kaylee is an avid boxer and weight lifter, enjoys yoga and strives to live an active healthy lifestyle.
Kaylee is thrilled to be able to combine her passion for educating young minds and her love for the outdoors with the Tír na nÓg team!
