Forest School 101 Workshop
Loose parts are natural or upcycled materials such as sticks, rocks, pine needles, fabrics, ropes and buckets. Loose parts have been capturing the imagination of children for centuries and at Forest School, we understand the inherent value that loose parts bring to a child’s curiosity and imagination. This workshop is designed to provide inspiration and information on how to utilize a variety of materials that don’t come with instructions but do inspire creativity and empower children!

This workshop explores the most critical component of activity planning which is how to identify, assess and mitigate risks. Risky Play Workshop
This workshop provides a hands on practical experience for educators who are looking to incorporate traditional bushcraft skills such as fire and shelter building into their programming. Additional topics include safe tool usage, preparing for all seasons, proper clothing and managing risks as it relates to hiking trails, basecamps or other sites. Participants will build the confidence to lead traditional Forest School activities in any weather!
